We can learn from the farmers’ relationship with the land. Hands turn the soil and lay seeds, rain quenches thirst, sunlight gives new life and the land returns the love it has received. When one plows the land, one can feel the pain of the land being broken open. But, if one understands the physical and emotional reasons for this act, then one will begin to understand the purpose of their own work and life.
